This album was made from a labour of love and to take my mind away from depression and with no money to spare making it. In fact I would say this project had kept me alive throughout 2019, which was an incrediby heavy year for me and my family. I've worked hard in every spare moment I had sometimes till very late and against all odds and ill health crafted these instrumentals. So it would be an honour if you could take my work home play and listen to my passion.
All these pieces are based on my yearning for my seaside hometown Ventnor, Isle of Wight. These are like musical pictures out of my memory like fading postcards.
I've also attempted to record this electronic album as if it had been recorded around 1969/70 and drew inspiration from synths, rhythm machines and technology from around that time, either using the real thing or the closest emulations I could find, prominently Philichorda 751, Rhythm Ace FR-3, Stylophone Mellotron tapes, and what I could get with EMS VCS3 and MiniMoog emulations.
So knowing allt that has gone into making this collection of tunes, please take a dowload and play it, you can have it all for free or pay as little or as much as you think its worth, name your price.
